===== Your First Probe =====  

You should have received your first probe in the form of a device to connect to your network.  
If not, you can install one yourself using this guide [[en:config:probe:install|Probe install]]

To set up the probe:  
  - Connect it to your network.  
  - Plug in the power supply.  
  - Turn it on.  

If the probe has been preconfigured by our team, its status should appear in the interface. Let’s verify this.

Go to **Status > Equipment** in the interface. The probe should be listed:

Once the probe is online, click on it in the interface to view its details:

=== Get probe's logs ===

Access your probe's logs by clicking on "**Show logs**" button {{:en:start:pasted:20250509-094908.png}}

Logs are sorted by level, and it is possible to configure the probe to display only one or several log types.

Select the desired log level from the drop-down list in the bottom left-hand corner of the window.

Log levels are nested as follows: **ALL < TRACE < DEBUG < INFO < WARN < ERROR**.

Example: by selecting **INFO**, the probe will retrieve **ERROR**, **WARN**, and **INFO**. 



Your probe is now operational. Let’s move on to adding your first piece of equipment!
