A probe is the component that establishes the connection between your equipment and the Zebrix Control servers.
For a general introduction, refer to the page Probes.
The devices will be managed from the Equipments page. Refer to the page First equipment for more information on its configuration. Communication between the probe and the equipment is handled through drivers. Each equipment is compatible with one or more drivers which, depending on their capabilities, allow either the collection of metrics or the execution of actions on the device.
The dedicated drivers page provides the necessary information for their configuration.
By clicking on the Equipment menu, you will access a list of your devices along with general information. Selecting a row in the table will display detailed information about the selected device in the following format:
The different tabs on this page allow you to manage the behavior of the equipment in Zebrix Control:
The Actions button allows you to perform various operations on a device, such as:
Maintenance mode is intended for temporarily pausing the device. While in this state, the system will stop collecting data and generating alerts. Devices in maintenance consume a subscription.
Disabling a device marks it for removal, while still preserving its historical data. The device becomes inactive but remains accessible for reference. Disabled devices no longer consume a subscription.
Deleting a device removes it from active lists and automatically disables it. However, you can still restore it later from the deleted devices list.
Finally, permanent deletion, which is only available for already deleted devices, will irreversibly remove the device and all its associated data from our systems.
Editing a device allows you to enter its general information. For more details, see First Device.
